Maria brink......................Maria Brink was born on December 18 1977 into a troubled family in New York. Brink was just a little girl when her father left the family. In the age of fourteen, Brink was pregnant, and she had to drop out of high school. Davion was her son who was born at the age of 14. Brink then moved into an in-law apartment in order to make money. In 1995, Brink began her own group Pulse that was formed on the streets of Albany New York. They played mostly local shows with bands like Coal Chamber & Sevendust. But the band members later split up. At the age of twenty-five, she moved to California and moved to Los Angeles, looking for the big break. Brink worked in stores performing in bars, and caf s as she searched for a new group. Two years later she met now-band singer Chris Howorth at an audition. Howorth was hesitant to take her on because she was a woman. He changed his tune after hearing her singing. Dying Stars were the name they used to describe their group, and they also formed with drummer Jeff Fabb. Blake Bunzel (guitarist) and Josh Newell (bassist) joined the group afterward. After two gigs the group changed its title in to In This Moment.
