Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, a Mexican American journalist. Her employer is ESPN and works as an SportsCenter News Anchor. Since 2016, Collins has joined ESPN. She is the child of television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins has been bilingual since the age of nine years old. It was a helpful skill that helped her secure her first job in the production department for Univision in Miami that provided her with the opportunity to collaborate with producers of national shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. Then she was promoted to reporter for CBS St. Petersburg. CBS St. Petersburg affiliate in the following year. In 2009 she moved into Rio Grande Valley, Texas to work as a news reporter for the Spanish station KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. In 2009 she made the move into Rio Grande Valley, Texas and became a journalist for KNVO 48 Univision as well as Fox2 News. In addition, she was used occasionally as a weather and sport anchor. Deportes 23 was Univision Dallas affiliate where she took on more responsibility. She produced pieces about the Major League Baseball's ALDS ALCS and World Series the Dallas Cowboys the NBA postseason as well as the Finals FC Dallas and the Dallas Stars. She also produced Univision 23's local sports show Accion Deportiva Extra, on which she served as anchor. The show was promoted to be anchoring sports on Despierta America Deportes' morning show. The same job was held in Primer Impacto magazine and Contacto Deportivo on the UniMas Network. Antonietta Collin's parents are originally from Veracruz Mexico. The city of Mexico City she was conceived on the 22nd November 1985. There is a sister. In 1992 her family left Mexico and moved to Miami. Soon after the family split up, and in 1995 Fabio Fajardo was remarried. He died from kidney cancer in 2006. It was on a time of summer when she was with her younger sister at Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had secured the job. At the time of her senior year at high school, but having a clear vision of what she wanted to do for her life, Antonietta was able to visit the University of Mount Union to determine if the school was suitable for her needs. She loved the campus. The university also provided her with the program she was interested in. Her studies were completed and she was admitted to the university with a degree of media studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor was also the station director of WRMU (91.1 FM), where she belonged. The passion he had for journalism as well as confidence in her own abilities instilled confidence in her. In turn, she attempted to live up to the standards he set and to not let him down.
